She built a ₱5M skincare brand from her kitchen — on a Lovable stack
When Mara Villanueva started Kusina Labs, she had two things: a recipe for a calamansi face serum and zero budget for a developer. Eighteen months later she has crossed ₱5M in annual revenue — and she is still the only person who touches the code.
Her stack is almost embarrassingly small: a storefront and quiz funnel built in Lovable, payments through Xendit, inventory in a Supabase table she queries in plain English.
The unlock was treating AI as leverage on the parts of the business she actually cared about. The serum formula and the customer DMs: human. Everything else: automated.
