Sr. AI Engineer

About the role

Senior AI Engineer at Axos Bank / Axos Business Center. Own AI initiatives, design and deploy AI agents for business domains, and mentor junior engineers. Applying may require a LinkedIn account (inventory listing).

What you'll do

• Lead design and deployment of agents for specific business domains; own technical architecture and quality standards
• Develop sophisticated prompts and system designs; establish best practices for prompt engineering across the team
• Architect integrations between AI systems and internal platforms; lead code review and validation processes
• Implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers; design and refine patterns for enterprise data integration
• Mentor junior engineers and drive adoption of AI-native practices

Requirements

• Able to mentor junior team members, guide technical decisions, and drive adoption of AI solutions across teams
• Takes ownership of initiatives, implements effective solutions, and measures impact against business metrics
• Applies strong judgment on ethical implications of AI systems and implements appropriate guardrails
• Experience designing and deploying AI agents and enterprise integrations
