Drug Discovery Specialist — Freelance AI Trainer Project
About the role
Meridial (powered by Invisible Technologies) is seeking drug discovery experts in the Philippines to train AI on pharmaceutical science. You’ll challenge advanced AI models on medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, high-throughput screening, target validation, ADMET profiling, lead optimization, molecular modeling, and structure-based drug design — topics like ligand–receptor interactions, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, in silico docking, assay development, and preclinical candidate evaluation. Remote from the Philippines, $8–$65/hr.
What you'll do
- Challenge AI models on medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, high-throughput screening, target validation, ADMET profiling, lead optimization, molecular modeling, and structure-based drug design; verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
- Document AI failure modes in drug discovery reasoning: ligand–receptor interactions, PK/PD, in silico docking, assay development, chemical libraries, biomarker identification, and preclinical candidate evaluation
- Capture reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics for drug discovery AI tasks
- Articulate drug discovery reasoning metacognitively — show your work, explain compound screening strategies and drug design choices step-by-step
Requirements
- Deep expertise in drug discovery; a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, pharmacology, or closely related life-science field is ideal
- Peer-reviewed publications, lab-based discovery research, or applied computational chemistry projects signal strong fit
- Clear, metacognitive communication — ability to explain medicinal chemistry and pharmacology reasoning step-by-step; experience in AI evaluation or scientific annotation is a plus
