About the role

Dry Ground AI helps mid-market companies become AI native. They design, build and run custom software, AI agents and automation workflows in production. This role is a senior AI engineer who owns features end to end.

What you'll do

  • Design, build and ship full-stack applications with React and TypeScript on the front end and Node.js or Python on the backend
  • Build AI agents, conversational interfaces and multi-step workflows using LLM APIs and frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph
  • Connect AI systems to client CRMs, property management and CMS platforms, data sources and internal tools through REST APIs, webhooks and n8n
  • Plan how each new feature will be tested, then write and maintain the automated tests and evaluations for it
  • Design for production: authentication and permissions, observability, error handling, and performance under real user load
  • Work directly with engagement managers and clients to scope solutions and explain technical tradeoffs

Requirements

  • 5 or more years as a full-stack or senior software engineer
  • Strong JavaScript and TypeScript, with hands-on React experience
  • Backend experience with Node.js and/or Python, including API design and integrations
  • AI features you have shipped to production and supported, not only prototypes
  • Working knowledge of LLM tooling (OpenAI or Anthropic APIs, LangChain or similar), prompt and context design, and retrieval-augmented generation
  • Habit of writing automated tests; experience with Playwright, Cypress or similar
