Video Narrator
About the role
GIG Rewards is looking for Filipinos who can narrate clearly and naturally over videos of everyday tasks at home. This isn't just recording, your voice is the product. AI systems need detailed, step-by-step verbal descriptions of human actions to understand how people interact with the real world. Your narration is what makes the footage valuable. No voice acting experience needed. If you can describe what you're doing while you do it — you're qualified.
What you'll do
- Pick an available narration quest from the GIG platform
- Narrate continuously over the video in conversational English— describe your surroundings, name objects, and explain every action step-by-step
- Use pointing words naturally: "this," "here," "look at that"
- Keep narration going — no dead air longer than 10 seconds
- Review your audio before uploading
- Submit and claim your GIG Points once verified
- Submit videos and claim your GIG Points once verified
- Example of Narration: "I'm in the kitchen and I’m going to cook rice on a rice cooker. This is about two cups. I'm rinsing the rice now under running water — you can see the water turning cloudy. Now I'm draining it..."
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Comfortable to narrate over videos in conversational English
- Smartphone with a working microphone
- Stable internet connection (WiFi preferred for uploads)
- Quiet recording environment — minimal background noise preferred
- Pro Tip from GIG: Use the "Pause & Describe" method. If your hands move faster than your words — pause the video, narrate the details of what you just did, then resume recording. This keeps your narration detailed without rushing.
