About the role
Meridial (powered by Invisible Technologies) is seeking nuclear engineering experts in the Philippines to train AI on nuclear science. You’ll challenge advanced AI models on reactor physics, radiation transport, nuclear fuel cycle analysis, thermal hydraulics, reactor safety, nuclear materials, radiation shielding, and nuclear instrumentation — topics like neutron moderation, reactor core design, radiation detection, nuclear waste management, probabilistic risk assessment, and nuclear system modeling. Remote from the Philippines, $8–$65/hr.
What you'll do
- Challenge AI models on reactor physics, radiation transport, nuclear fuel cycle analysis, thermal hydraulics, reactor safety, radiation shielding, and nuclear instrumentation; verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
- Document AI failure modes in nuclear engineering reasoning: neutron moderation, reactor core design, radiation detection methods, nuclear waste management, probabilistic risk assessment, and nuclear system modeling
- Capture reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics for nuclear engineering AI tasks
- Articulate nuclear engineering reasoning metacognitively — show your work, explain technical choices, and document error patterns in a precise, reproducible format
Requirements
- Deep expertise in nuclear engineering; a master’s or PhD in nuclear engineering or closely related field is ideal
- Peer-reviewed publications, hands-on reactor research, nuclear facility experience, or computational nuclear modeling signal strong fit
- Clear, metacognitive communication — ability to explain complex nuclear engineering concepts step-by-step; experience in AI evaluation or technical annotation is a plus
