About the role
Meridial (powered by Invisible Technologies) is looking for nuclear physics experts in the Philippines to train AI on nuclear science. You’ll challenge advanced AI models on nuclear structure, particle interactions, nuclear decay processes, reactor physics, radiation transport, accelerator physics, and quantum chromodynamics — topics like fission and fusion processes, neutron scattering, isotope production, nuclear spectroscopy, and high-energy particle detection. Remote from the Philippines, $8–$65/hr.
What you'll do
- Challenge AI models on nuclear structure, particle interactions, nuclear decay processes, reactor physics, radiation transport, and accelerator physics; verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
- Document AI failure modes in nuclear physics reasoning: fission/fusion processes, neutron scattering, isotope production, nuclear spectroscopy, and high-energy particle detection
- Capture reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics for nuclear physics AI tasks
- Articulate nuclear physics reasoning metacognitively — show your work, explain experimental and theoretical choices, and document error patterns precisely
Requirements
- Deep expertise in nuclear physics; a PhD in nuclear physics or closely related field is ideal
- Peer-reviewed publications, experimental nuclear research, reactor operations, or hands-on nuclear instrumentation experience signal strong fit
- Clear, metacognitive communication — ability to explain complex nuclear physics reasoning step-by-step; experience in AI evaluation or scientific annotation is a plus
