Senior AI Automation engineer-E commerce AI agents

About the role

We are building an AI automation company that creates and deploys custom AI agents for e-commerce businesses. This is NOT a basic chatbot position.

What you'll do

• Architect AI agent systems from the ground up and build workflows using n8n.
• Build reusable automation templates that can be duplicated across multiple client businesses.
• Connect Shopify through APIs/webhooks and integrate Klaviyo plus support platforms such as Gorgias or Zendesk.
• Work with OpenAI, Claude and other LLM APIs; write custom Python and/or JavaScript when needed.
• Build database integrations with PostgreSQL and/or Supabase and retrieval/knowledge systems where appropriate.
• Deploy systems into production with logging, monitoring, error handling, and human escalation paths.
• Troubleshoot failed workflows and document every system clearly.

Requirements

• Can take a business problem, design the technical architecture, build the automation, connect the required platforms, test the system, deploy it, monitor it, and improve it over time.
• This is NOT a basic chatbot position and NOT a prompt-engineering-only position.
• Experience with n8n, REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JSON, and authentication.
• Experience with OpenAI, Claude, or other LLM APIs.
• Able to work with Shopify, Klaviyo, and customer-support platforms.
