About the role
Own Speechify's backend behind TTS, payments, subscriptions, auth, and metering for 50M+ users. Cebu-tagged, 100% distributed. For a TS/Node engineer who already uses AI agents in daily work.
What you'll do
- Design and own APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, metering, and the public TTS API
- Harden existing services for correctness, cost, and latency at 50M-user scale
- Automate operational work and leave tests that keep changes correct
- Build B2B/enterprise integrations on the Speechify platform
Requirements
- Proven backend experience in TypeScript/Node (required)
- Direct GCP experience; other clouds acceptable
- Comfort owning correctness of billing, metering, and high-uptime APIs
- Daily working setup with AI agents you can describe in detail
