AI Systems Builder – Claude Code, Agents & MCP (Finance & Construction Pricing)
About the role
AI systems for a construction pricing engine and an AI finance team on Xero. You own the build end-to-end: architecture, agents, integrations, testing, documentation.
What you'll do
- Build a pricing and estimating agent system that issues RFQs, normalises quotes, builds a cost plan, and raises quotes and purchase orders in Xero.
- Build Claude Code agents that review client bookkeeping in Xero, assemble month-end packs, create workpapers, and draft variance commentary with a human review gate.
- Connect Claude to Xero, Microsoft 365, and data stores via MCP servers.
- Build evaluation harnesses so the firm knows when an agent's output is wrong.
- Document every system so the firm is not dependent on you to operate what you built.
Requirements
- Shipped Claude Code work in production: subagents, CLAUDE.md / skill files, hooks, multi-agent orchestration. You can show it.
- Built or integrated at least one MCP server in production.
- Python or TypeScript to a professional standard; Git/GitHub daily.
- API integration with an accounting, CRM or ERP platform (Xero API is a strong plus).
- Excellent written English — you will document every system and write for a non-technical reader.
- Available during business hours (Mon–Fri, UTC+8).
