About the role
Meridial (powered by Invisible Technologies) is seeking independent Vocal Audio Specialists worldwide to generate precision audio training data for an AI audio model project. You’ll record clean, professional-grade humming takes with dynamic control and tonal accuracy — following prompts like ‘hum a major 3rd’ or ‘flat tone, no vibrato’ — to help AI learn human vocal pitch and musicality. Musical literacy and a home recording setup required. Remote, worldwide, $6–$65/hr.
What you'll do
- Record clean, pitch-stable humming takes with dynamic control; strictly follow tonal prompts (e.g., ‘hum a major 3rd’, ‘stay in key’, ‘flat tone, no vibrato’) to generate standardized AI audio training data
- Demonstrate a solid internal metronome: execute highly repeatable tasks (humming the exact same melody multiple times with minimal variation); maintain rhythmic and melodic consistency across sessions
- Apply professional recording competence: proper mic proximity, gain/input controls, gain staging; ensure distortion-free, high-fidelity audio capture in a controlled home recording environment
- Follow detailed instructions precisely; contribute to structured training datasets that help AI models learn human vocal pitch changes and musicality
Requirements
- Demonstrable musical literacy and performance history (choir, band, a cappella, live gigs, audio engineering, or music production); calm, controlled voice with a highly trained ear for pitch stability
- Hands-on experience in Voice Over work, studio recording, or prior AI audio training projects — candidates completely new to recording workflows will not meet the quality threshold
- Strong technical recording competence: deep understanding of gain staging, microphone technique, and recording equipment; professional home recording environment capable of capturing clean audio free from background noise, clipping, or room echo
