Voice Actor — Freelance AI Trainer Project
About the role
Meridial (powered by Invisible Technologies) is looking for experienced voice actors worldwide to help train the next generation of AI speech and voice models. You’ll record scripted material, assess AI-generated voice outputs for linguistic accuracy and naturalness, annotate errors, and collaborate to refine prompts, evaluation methods, and voice design guidelines — helping AI deliver more expressive, human-like voice across education, entertainment, and accessibility. Remote, worldwide, $6–$65/hr.
What you'll do
- Record scripted material across a range of styles and tones; deliver nuance, clarity, and authenticity in voice training data for AI speech models
- Assess AI-generated speech outputs for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, pronunciation, tone, pacing, and emotional expression; annotate errors with precision
- Collaborate with the team to refine prompts, evaluation methods, and voice design guidelines; help strengthen AI voice models across expressive and conversational use cases
- Apply expert voice acting judgment to distinguish between natural and unnatural AI speech patterns; provide structured, actionable feedback on AI voice quality
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in professional voice acting, dubbing, narration, audiobook recording, or closely related performance work
- High-quality recording setup: reliable microphone, quiet recording environment, stable internet connection required
- Clear communication and meticulous attention to detail; experience in voice training, coaching, or linguistic annotation is a strong plus
