AI Ethics Trainer
About the role
Chagible AI Lab is hiring an AI Ethics Trainer (also called Machine Ethics Trainer) to shape how its AI systems behave. You'll train models by evaluating and correcting their outputs, create high-quality alignment data, and design evaluation criteria to steer AI responses toward safe, responsible, and unbiased outcomes. This is a remote freelance contract role open to applicants in the Philippines, working 4 days per week.
What you'll do
- Train AI models by evaluating, correcting, and improving their responses against ethical guidelines
- Identify and reduce harmful outputs including bias, unsafe content, and misleading information
- Create high-quality training data that reinforces responsible and aligned AI behavior
- Design prompts and evaluation criteria to guide model responses toward ethical outcomes
- Analyze model outputs to detect patterns, weaknesses, and risks
- Collaborate with ML engineers and QA teams to refine AI training processes
Requirements
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail, with ability to evaluate language, reasoning, and context
- Understanding of ethical principles such as fairness, safety, and responsibility
- Experience in data annotation, AI training, or content evaluation is a plus
- Familiarity with AI systems or large language models is an advantage
- Strong written communication skills in English
- Master's degree or background in Linguistics, Philosophy, or Values Education is a bonus
- Exposure to prompt engineering or AI safety concepts is an advantage
