Lead Data Scientist
About the role
Maya is hiring a Data Science Lead in Mandaluyong to drive its AI, machine learning, and customer intelligence strategy. The role leads Data Scientists building production ML and AI for acquisition, engagement, retention, personalization, and revenue across the Maya ecosystem.
What you'll do
- Identify and prioritize business opportunities where AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics can drive significant impact
- Translate business challenges into scalable Data Science solutions and technical roadmaps
- Lead development of customer segmentation, clustering, propensity, recommendation, and predictive models
- Partner with Engineering and Machine Learning Engineering teams to operationalize and scale Data Science solutions
- Mentor and coach senior and junior Data Scientists and establish model governance standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
- At least 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI, including production-grade solutions
- At least 3+ years of people leadership experience managing Data Science teams
- Proven experience building clustering, propensity, recommendation, classification, and predictive models
- Experience supporting marketing, growth, CRM, lifecycle, personalization, or customer analytics initiatives
