Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer (Freelance)

About the role

Freelance Python scraping for Mindrift's Tendem project: extract and validate structured data from complex, JS-rendered sites using Apify, OpenRouter, and custom workflows. For a senior scraper who can own quality end to end, remotely, on a part-time project cadence.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end data extraction across complex and JS-rendered sites
• Validate, normalize, and deliver structured datasets (CSV, JSON, Sheets)
• Use Apify, OpenRouter, and custom Python workflows including LLM-assisted automation
• Scale batching/parallelization and keep scrapers stable as sites change

Requirements

• 5+ years in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development
• Strong Python scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar) including dynamic JS content and proxied APIs
• Data cleaning, normalization, and validation to structured outputs
• English B2+; cloud/Docker and LLM frameworks (LangChain/OpenRouter) are additional pluses
