Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Full-time remote Philippines role taking newly signed customers from requirements to a working production deployment of Octocom's AI support layer. Hands-on engineering at the intersection of product and customers.

What you'll do

• Own technical implementation and deployment for new and existing customers
• Work directly with customers to understand their systems, processes, data, and requirements
• Integrate Octocom with e-commerce platforms, help desks, CRMs, APIs, internal systems, and other third-party tools
• Build custom integrations, scripts, automations, and workflows when an out-of-the-box solution is not enough
• Configure and improve AI workflows across order tracking, returns, delivery questions, product recommendations, and other customer-specific use cases
• Investigate and resolve technical issues across chat, email, phone, APIs, webhooks, and integrations
• Analyze AI performance and identify ways to increase automation rates, accuracy, reliability, and overall customer outcomes

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and comfortable writing production-quality code
• Comfortable working with APIs, webhooks, databases, logs, authentication, integrations, and debugging distributed systems
• Can quickly understand unfamiliar technical systems and find practical ways to integrate with them
• Comfortable working directly with customers and can explain technical topics clearly
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving remote environment with limited structure
• Interested in AI, automation, e-commerce, and building products that replace large amounts of repetitive operational work
