One-Time Mission: Self-Hosted Video AI Setup

About the role

One-time mission to stand up a self-hosted GPU stack (ComfyUI on RunPod/Vast.ai or similar) for video/image character swap, face swap, and Wan Animate / VACE character animation with identity preservation.

What you'll do

• Build a self-hosted GPU environment for advanced AI video and image editing.
• Support video character swapping/replacement, video and image face swapping, and character animation from a reference image plus driving video.
• Preserve identity and give maximum control over models and workflows.
• Run the stack through ComfyUI or another simple interface on RunPod, Vast.ai, or a similar GPU provider.

Requirements

• Experienced AI engineer.
• Able to recommend models/tools, including whether Wan Animate and VACE are the right choices.
• Explain what you would use for face swap vs full character replacement.
• Do not send a generic application — describe how you would actually build the setup.
