Digital Marketing Manager
About the role
We are looking for a data-driven Digital Marketing Manager to own retail media and paid advertising across the major retailers and marketplaces our brands sell on — including Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target, and comparable platforms. You will set the strategy and manage the hands-on execution of campaigns that drive visibility, sell-through, and profitable growth, with return on ad spend (ROAS) as a primary measure of success. This is a full-ownership role: you will plan and manage advertising across multiple brands, turn performance data into clear reporting and recommendations, and be the person the team and our clients rely on to keep advertising organized, effective, and always improving. The ideal candidate lives inside retailer ad platforms, is fluent in the numbers, and takes real pride in owning results.
What you'll do
- Retail Media Strategy & Campaign Management
- Own and manage all paid advertising across major retailer and marketplace ad platforms, including Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display, and DSP), Walmart Connect, Wayfair, and other retail media networks as brands and channels are added.
- Develop annual, quarterly, and event-specific media plans aligned to each brand’s goals, retailer priorities, product launches, and seasonal moments (e.g., Prime Day, Walmart Deals Days, Q4).
- Plan, build, launch, and manage campaigns end to end — keyword and product targeting, bids, budgets, placements, and creative.
- Manage advertising budgets across brands and platforms, building forecasts and pacing spend to goals while reallocating toward the highest-performing campaigns, products, and channels.
- Plan and execute promotions, coupons, and deal events in coordination with retail calendars to maximize visibility and sell-through.
- Conduct keyword, category, and competitor research to find new growth opportunities and improve targeting.
- Run structured A/B tests on targeting, creative, and copy, and use results to continuously improve performance.
- Optimization & Performance (ROAS)
- Continuously optimize campaigns to maximize ROAS and hit efficiency and growth targets, adjusting bids, budgets, and targeting based on performance data.
- Monitor account and campaign health daily, flag issues early, and act quickly to protect spend and results.
- Partner with the retail and content teams to ensure product listings and detail pages are optimized to convert the traffic advertising drives.
- Stay current on new ad products, platform features, and retail media best practices, and bring recommendations to the team.
- Reporting, Analytics & Communication
- Own all reporting and analytics for paid media — building and maintaining dashboards and recurring reports that track spend, sales, ROAS, ACoS/TACoS, conversion rate, and share of voice.
- Translate performance data into clear insights and recommendations, and present results to the team and clients on a regular cadence.
- Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders and clients about account health, performance, and action plans.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across platforms and reporting tools.
- Key Metrics You’ll Own
- Return on ad spend (ROAS) and advertising cost of sale (ACoS / TACoS).
- Advertising-driven sales growth and sell-through across retailers.
- Budget pacing and efficiency against plan.
- Share of voice and organic + paid ranking improvements on key products.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of hands-on experience managing paid advertising / retail media on ecommerce and marketplace platforms (Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Wayfair, or similar).
- Proven track record of improving ROAS and managing advertising budgets to measurable performance goals.
- Hands-on experience with Helium 10, Keepa, or similar Amazon research and competitiveintelligence tools.
- Experience with a retail media bid-management / analytics platform (e.g., Pacvue, Perpetua, Skai, Stackline, or similar).
- Experience building reports and dashboards using tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Working familiarity with Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Walmart Seller Center, or comparable retailer back ends.
- Advanced spreadsheet ability (pivot tables, formulas, lookups) and comfort working with large data sets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present results clearly to a team or client.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to take full ownership of multiple brands and platforms independently.
- Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-moving environment and takes pride in followthrough.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
