About the role

What you'll do

• Application Ownership
• Assume technical ownership of the member-facing application.
• Manage ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and platform stability.
• Work with external vendors to facilitate knowledge transfer and transition activities.
• Identify technical debt and opportunities for platform modernization.
• Full Stack Development
• Design, develop, test, and deploy new features across frontend and backend systems.
• Deliver high-quality, scalable, secure, and maintainable code.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technology decision-making.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Cloud & Infrastructure
• Support and optimize applications hosted across Azure and AWS environments.
• Manage deployment processes, monitoring, and system performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve application reliability, scalability, and security.
• Database Management
• Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL database solutions.
• Develop efficient data models and database performance strategies.
• Support data integrity, backup, and recovery processes.
• AI Integration & Innovation
• Evaluate and implement AI-driven features and integrations.
• Work with modern AI services, APIs, and automation technologies to improve operational efficiency and member experience.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases.
• Technical Leadership
• Provide architectural guidance and development best practices.
• Establish coding standards, documentation, and development processes.
• Support future team growth and contribute to building an internal engineering capability.

Requirements

• Essential
• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade web applications.
• Experience independently managing complex application environments.
• Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a self-directed senior role.
• Desirable
• Experience transitioning applications from external vendors to internal ownership.
• Experience within membership, hospitality, wellness, lifestyle, or customer-facing digital platforms.
• Azure certifications or relevant cloud certifications.
• Experience leading or mentoring other developers.
