AI/Data Scientist — Claims Analytics (Mid Shift)
About the role
Arch Global Services Philippines is building out its Claims Analytics team and this Data Scientist role will develop ML models that improve claims processing efficiency and accuracy for Arch Capital's global insurance operations. You'll work with NLP, OCR, and image analytics alongside classic ML techniques — helping Arch make better, faster claims decisions using predictive intelligence.
What you'll do
- Build predictive models for claims analytics using Python or R; apply GLM, GBM, NLP, and decision tree techniques to insurance claims data
- Develop advanced SQL queries and R/Python automation to investigate anomalies and surface patterns in claims datasets
- Leverage OCR, NLP, and image analytics to extract insights from unstructured claims documentation
- Create Power BI dashboards that support claims modeling and enable operational usage by business teams
- Monitor deployed models for performance drift; assist with model testing, documentation, and API integrations
Requirements
- At least 5 years of predictive modeling experience using Python, R, or SQL in a professional setting
- BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Experience with NLP, OCR, or image analytics is a plus; experience calling APIs required
- Insurance industry experience strongly preferred; strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Effective communicator across technical and non-technical audiences in a global team environment
