Forward-Deployed AI Engineer
About the role
NodixAI is hiring forward-deployed engineers to turn enterprise AI architectures into production systems alongside the principal architect and the customer team. The work is fractional and hands-on: RAG, agents, integrations, and cloud deployment.
What you'll do
- Build and deploy RAG systems, enterprise knowledge applications, agentic workflows, and AI-enabled applications.
- Integrate AI systems with enterprise APIs, databases, SaaS applications, and operational workflows.
- Build ingestion and processing pipelines for structured and unstructured enterprise data.
- Implement tool integrations, workflow orchestration, human approvals, evaluation, guardrails, and observability.
- Deploy services on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including private or VPC architectures, with auth, secrets, logging, and security controls.
- Work with customer engineering teams to troubleshoot integrations and support production rollout and monitoring.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Python development experience.
- Strong backend and API development experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or equivalent.
- Production experience building GenAI or LLM applications on OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, or Vertex AI.
- Hands-on RAG experience, including ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, reranking, and vector search.
- Experience with agentic systems, tool calling, structured outputs, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Experience with an orchestration framework such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
