Head of Tech (Engineering & AI)
About the role
Portcast is hiring a Head of Tech to lead engineering, machine learning, and analytics. The posting is remote-first across Asia and Europe, and the office list includes Manila and Cebu. The role owns how AI and data move into production, and it is not a pure management seat.
What you'll do
- Lead the engineering, machine learning, and analytics functions as one team.
- Own technical direction across platform, infrastructure, and product systems.
- Move ML models from experimentation into production and strengthen MLOps and real-time data systems.
- Partner with product, sales, and customer teams on enterprise requirements.
- Stay close to architecture and review critical designs.
Requirements
- 10 or more years in software engineering, data, or machine learning environments.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience leading technical teams in a startup or product-driven B2B SaaS company.
- A track record building and scaling production AI/ML systems.
- Experience with distributed systems, real-time data, and cloud infrastructure.
