Data Science & AI Capability Manager
About the role
The Data Science and AI Capability Manager leads data scientists and analysts applying machine learning and statistical modeling to manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer data. The role owns project delivery from exploration through deployment and monitoring.
What you'll do
- Lead data science projects from business understanding and exploration through model deployment and monitoring.
- Design predictive models and machine learning algorithms for demand forecasting, quality prediction, and preventive maintenance.
- Mentor and manage a team of data scientists and analysts.
- Set practices for experimentation, version control, and model evaluation.
- Drive adoption of AI and machine learning tools across departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 5 to 7 years of hands-on data science experience.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
- Proficient in Python and/or R, SQL, and frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and XGBoost.
- Manufacturing, industrial, or supply-chain experience is highly preferred.
