Senior/Staff Product Manager, ML Research (Remote)
About the role
Runway is hiring a Sr/Staff PM for ML Research to own the product strategy and roadmap for its AI model research team, ensuring that research advances in video generation and world modeling translate into compelling user-facing capabilities. You will be the connective tissue between research scientists, engineering, and product teams at one of the world’s leading AI video companies.
What you'll do
- Define and prioritize the research-to-product roadmap for ML capabilities across Runway’s video generation and world model platforms.
- Translate user needs and market signals into research priorities in close collaboration with scientists and engineers.
- Drive cross-functional alignment between research, product, and infrastructure teams on capability delivery timelines.
- Develop frameworks for evaluating new model capabilities and communicating them to users and the market.
- Partner with research scientists to understand emerging breakthroughs and shape their path to production.
Requirements
- Proven PM experience at an AI or ML-driven product company with direct collaboration with research teams.
- Deep understanding of machine learning research processes, timelines, and trade-offs.
- Ability to evaluate technical feasibility and quality of AI model capabilities.
- Track record driving cross-functional product roadmaps from research to production.
- Preferred: prior experience with generative AI, computer vision, or video/multimodal AI products.
