Agentic AI Engineer
About the role
Substance is hiring a fractional agentic AI engineer to build and deploy multi-agent systems that automate real business workflows. The seat is listed for Davao City and Cebu City as well as Bengaluru and Vietnam, and the posting calls it remote.
What you'll do
- Design and build multi-agent systems that replace or augment manual business processes
- Integrate agents with CRM, ERP, databases, APIs, and communication platforms
- Optimize cost per task, including token efficiency, latency, and accuracy
- Set up observability so agents do not fail silently, then maintain the deployed agents
Requirements
- At least two production-deployed agentic systems, not proofs of concept or coursework
- Proficiency in Python and LangChain/LangGraph or an equivalent orchestration framework
- Experience with tool-calling, RAG pipelines, memory management, and multi-agent coordination
- Familiarity with MCP servers and API integrations
