Databricks AI / Genie Specialist for Company Brain POC

Posted 3d ago

About the role

We need a hands-on Databricks AI specialist to build a tightly scoped proof of concept and determine whether Databricks can serve as the context and semantic knowledge layer for company data. Our source estate is approximately 15 GB across Outlook email, SharePoint documents, CRM records, meeting transcripts, and Google Cloud Storage.

What you'll do

  • We need a hands-on Databricks AI specialist to build a tightly scoped proof of concept and determine whether Databricks can serve as the context and semantic knowledge layer for company data.
  • Our source estate is approximately 15 GB across Outlook email, SharePoint documents, CRM records, meeting transcripts, and Google Cloud Storage. Start with a small representative sample; do not ingest everything in the initial POC.
  • The focus is Databricks Genie Ontology, Databricks AI Search / Vector Search, Genie Agents, Unity Catalog, and Lakeflow Connect, combined with unstructured data, semantic search, and entity and relationship extraction. This is not a traditional Spark, BI, or data warehouse implementation.
  • Identify connector prerequisites or limitations early.

Requirements

  • Implement the minimum entity and relationship extraction needed to link companies, contacts, deals, lenders, emails, meetings, and documents, including changes over time.
  • Provide a brief handoff with reproducible configuration/code, tested examples, limitations, approximate operating costs, cleanup instructions, and a recommendation on whether to expand the pilot.
  • Success means a working small-sample demonstration and an evidence-based assessment of Databricks as a Company Brain / knowledge graph context layer. A useful finding about a capability gap is preferable to overbuilding around it.
  • Hard ceiling for the initial POC: approximately $1,000. Plan to stay at or below $1,000; obtain written approval before exceeding it.
