AI Football Player Tracking Model

Posted 9h ago

About the role

Contract to build a computer-vision model that tracks one football player in broadcast video and writes performance metrics to JSON. The web app and report design are out of scope.

What you'll do

  • Train or fine-tune a YOLO player-detection model on football broadcast footage.
  • Track one selected player with ByteTrack, including lock-on and ID-switch handling.
  • Run a fast preview for player selection, then a full GPU analysis.
  • Calibrate the pitch and extract distance, speed, sprints, activity, heatmap, and zone occupancy.
  • Return structured JSON and a serverless GPU inference pipeline.

Requirements

  • Can train and fine-tune a YOLO detection model.
  • Can implement multi-object tracking with ByteTrack and single-player lock-on.
  • Can calibrate a pitch from video into real-world positions.
  • Can ship a tested serverless GPU inference pipeline.
  • Scope is the model and analysis pipeline only, not the web platform or report design.
