About the role

Backend contract to classify tax documents and extract every filled field into JSON. One FastAPI endpoint handles upload, classification, extraction, and the response. No frontend.

What you'll do

• Accept tax documents through one API endpoint.
• Classify the document type automatically.
• Extract filled fields and values, including dates, names, addresses, tax IDs, figures, and checkboxes.
• Return structured JSON organized by document type.
• Support scanned documents and digital PDFs, with OCR if a scan needs it.

Requirements

• FastAPI and Python backend experience. FastAPI only.
• AI-powered document processing and LLM structured outputs.
• OCR and PDF processing.
• Validation, error handling, logging, and production-ready modular code.
• Backend only. No frontend.
