AI Video Editor (VSL-Focused)
About the role
We're looking for two talented AI Video Editors to join the in-house creative team of a fast-growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) fashion and apparel brand managing approximately $1M USD in monthly Meta advertising spend. This is a 100% AI-first creative role. Instead of traditional filming or production, you'll use cutting-edge AI tools to generate and edit high-performing video advertisements. Working closely with our Senior Creative Strategist, you'll transform creative briefs into compelling Video Sales Letters (VSLs) and UGC-style ad creatives designed to drive conversions. If you're passionate about performance marketing, AI-powered content creation, and producing high-volume, high-impact creative assets, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do
- Generate AI-powered video and UGC-style content using tools such as Higgsfield.
- Utilize Claude AI to develop, refine, and optimize prompts and scripts for AI-generated content.
- Edit AI-generated footage into polished, conversion-focused VSLs and UGC-style advertisements.
- Produce multiple high-quality creative variations each week based on winning marketing angles provided by the Creative Strategist.
- Execute creative briefs accurately while maintaining consistency with the intended direction.
- Identify ambiguities or issues within creative briefs and proactively communicate them to the Creative Strategist rather than making assumptions.
- Continuously optimize creative output while maintaining speed, quality, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Proven experience creating direct-response advertising creatives that have been used in live campaigns.
- Strong understanding of what makes video advertisements convert, particularly VSLs, UGC-style ads, and performance marketing creatives.
- Excellent video editing skills, including pacing, hooks, captions, storytelling, and direct-response ad structure.
- Experience producing multiple creative variations within tight deadlines.
- Comfortable executing another team member's creative vision with precision.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
