Senior Full Stack Engineer
About the role
This role sits at the intersection of the Core Services and Innovation teams. The team is responsible for scaling revenue, streamlining internal operational processes, and improving user experiences across client-facing and internal ecosystems. Key initiatives include building and maintaining an AI-driven proactive account management platform alongside a fully automated project fulfillment engine that manages design feedback loops, logistics, invoicing, and order visibility within a single unified application.
What you'll do
- Lead the development of client technology aimed at the automation of internal processes, using an AI-first approach;
- Contribute substantially to the development of backend solutions within both the Core Services and Innovation team;
- Lead frontend development work across assigned projects;
- Use LLM-powered development tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.)to build new functionalities quickly and at scale, continuously pushing the boundaries of what is possible within the corporate gifting industry;
- Foster a spirit of experimentation and innovation, encouraging rapid testing and validation of new ideas;
- Maintain strong engineering fundamentals: oversee system architecture, ensure database security, protect sensitive data, and uphold performance and reliability standards;
- Build scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions across client-facing and internal systems;
- Liaise with external development partners where needed, ensuring quality and timelines are met.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Proven expertise in a senior full-stack or backend engineering role within a high-growth startup environment.
- Proven expertise in designing scalable application architectures using a microservices approach.
- Proven expertise in implementing AI solutions, code-generation tools, and LLMs within active automation workflows.
- Experience implementing AI solutions within automation systems
- Proficiency in building backend services using Python, Django, and FastAPI frameworks.
- Experience with relational databases using PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and Alembic migrations.
- Experience using code-generation tools and LLMs like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot within active development workflows.
- Experience working with containerized environments using Docker.
- Experience utilizing core web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript
