Filipino Language Specialist — Freelance AI Trainer Project
About the role
Meridial (powered by Invisible Technologies) is seeking experienced Filipino language professionals in the Philippines to help train AI on Filipino language and culture. You’ll evaluate and refine AI-generated Filipino text outputs, provide expert feedback on grammar, syntax, semantics, style, and cultural appropriateness, and help build AI that delivers more natural and contextually rich Filipino language experiences across education, accessibility, and communication. Remote from the Philippines, $8–$65/hr.
What you'll do
- Review and annotate Filipino-language content; assess AI-generated outputs for accuracy, fluency, and cultural appropriateness
- Identify and document error patterns in grammar, syntax, and semantics to drive model improvements
- Collaborate with the team to refine prompts, evaluation methods, and linguistic guidelines for Filipino-language AI tasks
- Provide expert feedback on Filipino text outputs across education, accessibility, and global communication use cases
Requirements
- Native or near-native fluency in Filipino required
- Demonstrated experience in translation, linguistics, language teaching, editing, or a related professional field
- Cultural knowledge and attention to detail; experience in linguistic annotation, training, or coaching is a plus
- Clear written communication skills and ability to document language errors and feedback in a structured, actionable way
