Founding Software Engineer — AI Supply Chain Automation
About the role
Glacis is looking for a Founding Software Engineer to shape AI-powered supply chain automation from the ground up. You'll own the technical strategy end-to-end, build AI-driven automation features integrated with enterprise ERP and TMS systems, and work directly with Fortune 500 customers to deliver solutions that reshape how global logistics operates.
What you'll do
- Define the company's end-to-end technical strategy and own critical architectural decisions as an early engineering hire
- Build scalable full-stack frontend and backend solutions using Python/Django, JavaScript frameworks, and PostgreSQL
- Design and deploy AI-driven automation features that integrate seamlessly with enterprise ERP and TMS systems
- Work hands-on with enterprise customers at companies like Tesla, Nike, and Coca-Cola to gather requirements and deliver custom solutions
- Contribute directly to the engineering roadmap, technology choices, and long-term vision of the company
Requirements
- 3+ years in software engineering, preferably with full-stack experience in a startup environment
- Proficiency in Python/Django, modern JavaScript frameworks, and PostgreSQL; cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset — excited by ownership, ambiguity, and rapid growth in an early-stage company
- Customer-centric approach with experience engaging directly with clients to build and deliver tailored solutions
- International experience and English fluency; willingness to engage across time zones with global stakeholders
