We The Flywheel – Agentic Engineer
About the role
Direct AI coding agents — Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, Codex — to ship landing pages, automations, internal scripts, and micro-features across We The Flywheel's portfolio of 500+ web properties. No prior professional coding experience required; if you already use AI tools to build things you didn't know how to build before, this is your role. Fully remote, async-first, contract under 30 hrs/week.
What you'll do
- Use AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, Codex CLI) to ship small features, scripts, and automations across the product portfolio
- Translate vague business requirements into precise AI prompts that produce working, deployable output
- Read AI-generated code critically — debug, push back, and iterate until the result is correct
- Build a personal library of prompts, MCP integrations, and reusable workflows the team can share
- Pair with senior engineers on harder scopes; learn fast, contribute fast in a fully async environment
Requirements
- Deep curiosity about AI; already using AI tools heavily in daily life and workflows
- Self-directed learner comfortable picking up new tools every week without handholding
- Strong written communication — writing prompts and async updates is the core of this role
- Any modern laptop; heavy lifting happens server-side through Discord and a cloud AI engine
- Preferred (not required): any shipped artifact you can point at, heavy use of an AI coding agent, comfort with command line and Git/GitHub
