Automation Specialist & AI Developer

Posted 1h ago

About the role

We’re looking for an AI Developer & Automation Specialist who combines technical mastery with grit, commercial judgment, and confidence. In this role, 90–95% of your work is centered on low-code/no-code platforms, AI tooling, and automation workflows, while 5–10% involves technical scripting and data pipelines (understanding APIs, MCPs, CLIs, and databases rather than building full-scale software from scratch). You’ll design, build, and deploy AI-driven automations and collaborate closely with M&A deal teams to streamline buyer engagement and deal execution. This role requires someone who is proactive, discreet with confidential data, takes initiative in the face of ambiguity, and delivers high-quality, reliable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled and low-code/no-code automations for sell-side M&A execution (representing 90–95% of your day-to-day focus).
  • Build AI research tools, copilots, and intelligent agents for buyer identification, strategic-fit analysis, segmentation, scoring, contact mapping, and buyer profiling.
  • Design high-value, targeted account-based marketing (ABM) workflows for strategic and financial buyers, including message personalization, internal approvals, sequencing, follow-ups, response tracking, and campaign-performance monitoring.
  • Connect CRMs, email/outreach platforms, deal databases, company/contact data providers, calendars, meeting tools, data rooms, internal knowledge bases, spreadsheets, and reporting platforms.
  • Develop custom scripts, connectors, and data pipelines using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL whenever no-code tools are insufficient (5–10% of the role).
  • Build workflows that help deal teams manage buyer conversations, including meeting briefs, interaction summaries, question/request tracking, follow-up recommendations, next-step reminders, and centralized conversation histories.
  • Build custom connectors between systems where no native integration exists and design a centralized knowledge base to compound institutional deal insights over time.
  • Apply strong engineering standards for testing, security, documentation, version control, reliability, confidentiality, and data privacy, ensuring appropriate human review before transaction-sensitive communications are sent.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in technical roles at technology startups (e.g., fintech) or fast-paced organizations shipping automation, data, or AI solutions.
  • Advanced hands-on mastery of low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier, Retool, Airtable), including multi-step workflows, error handling, and monitoring (90–95% focus).
  • Strong technical comprehension and hands-on familiarity with APIs, MCPs, CLIs, webhooks, databases, and data pipelines (not full-scale software engineering, but deep technical literacy).
  • Ability to write practical scripts and lightweight services in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL when no-code platforms reach their limits.
  • Practical experience developing AI applications using LLMs, vector databases, retrieval systems, tool calling, structured outputs, evaluations, and observability.
  • Excellent communication skills — comfortable in a distributed, English-speaking environment (English fluency is a must).
  • Strong commercial judgment, high discretion with transaction-sensitive information, and an ownership mindset in a remote setting.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment.
