Sales Development Representative for Biotechnology Company
About the role
This role owns the full outbound cycle — researching and building targeted physician lists, running multi-channel outreach campaigns across calls, email, SMS, and LinkedIn, and booking qualified meetings for the account executive team. Given a target specialty or region, the SDR independently develops and executes the prospecting strategy using AI tools and automation rather than working off a pre-built list. Success means consistently generating a minimum of 10 qualified meetings per week, keeping the CRM clean and current, and proactively identifying ways to improve outreach performance.
What you'll do
- * Lead Generation & Prospecting:** Identify, research, and build targeted lead lists across physician networks, medical practices, and specialty markets using AI and data-enrichment tools.
- * Outbound Sales & Meeting Generation:** Execute multi-channel outreach through calls, email, SMS, and LinkedIn to qualify prospects, overcome initial objections, and book qualified meetings.
- * CRM & Pipeline Management:** Maintain accurate CRM records, track prospect activity and outcomes, and monitor key sales metrics and pipeline performance.
- * Sales Team Support:** Assist account executives with prospect research, sales calls, and presentation materials while developing product and industry knowledge.
- * Process & Tool Optimization:** Identify and recommend improvements to outreach processes, automation, and sales tools to increase efficiency and consistently achieve meeting-generation targets.
Requirements
- 2+ years of SDR/BDR experience with end-to-end ownership of outbound cold prospecting
- Hands-on experience with AI-driven prospecting and data enrichment tools (e.g., Clay, ChatGPT, Claude, Apollo, Instantly, or ZoomInfo)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding a monthly qualified-meeting quota (40+ meetings/month benchmark)
- Multi-channel outreach experience spanning cold calls, email, SMS, and LinkedIn
- CRM experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or an equivalent platform
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- C1+ English (CEFR) for daily client-facing communication with US-based physician offices
