Politics & Government Specialist — Freelance AI Trainer Project
About the role
Meridial (powered by Invisible Technologies) is looking for political science specialists and government professionals worldwide to train the next generation of AI. You’ll challenge advanced AI on constitutional frameworks, policy trade-offs, electoral systems, legislative procedure, political theory, and comparative government — documenting failure modes to strengthen AI reasoning and neutrality on political topics. No degree required; government, advocacy, or policy experience valued. Remote, $6–$65/hr.
What you'll do
- Challenge AI models with policy scenarios, governance questions, and political analysis tasks spanning constitutional frameworks, electoral systems, legislative procedure, political theory, and comparative government
- Verify factual accuracy and institutional correctness of AI responses; assess logical consistency, neutrality, and bias risks; identify where AI oversimplifies political processes or misinterprets procedural rules
- Capture reproducible error traces and document failure modes in AI political reasoning; help strengthen model accuracy on civic, legislative, and policy topics
- Provide structured feedback to improve prompts, evaluation standards, and analytical depth; articulate reasoning and decision processes explicitly (‘showing your work’ essential for sensitive political topics)
Requirements
- Background in political science, public policy, public administration, international relations, or related field; degree preferred but not required
- Real-world experience in government offices, legislative bodies, advocacy organizations, regulatory agencies, campaigns, or civic institutions is highly valued
- Clear, metacognitive communication style — ability to articulate political and policy reasoning step-by-step; familiarity with comparative government, public budgeting, ethics in governance, or international relations is a plus
