Small Business Ownership or Manager — Freelance AI Trainer Project
About the role
Meridial (powered by Invisible Technologies) is seeking small business owners and managers worldwide to train AI systems on entrepreneurship and operations. You’ll engage AI models on realistic VSB scenarios — budgeting, pricing, marketing strategy, hiring decisions, vendor management, customer communications, and compliance — evaluating responses for practical accuracy, capturing reasoning errors, and providing expert feedback to help AI better serve entrepreneurs navigating limited resources and high-stakes decisions. Remote, worldwide-open, paid hourly. New owners and seasoned entrepreneurs welcome.
What you'll do
- Engage AI models with realistic small business scenarios and operational challenges across budgeting, pricing, marketing strategy, staffing, vendor management, and customer communications
- Evaluate AI outputs for practical alignment with how Very Small Businesses actually operate; assess whether responses account for resource constraints and real-world trade-offs
- Capture reproducible error traces and document instances where the model oversimplifies trade-offs or misunderstands VSB constraints
- Provide structured, metacognitive feedback — explicitly articulating how and why decisions are made in a real business context — to improve model accuracy on entrepreneurship topics
Requirements
- Direct experience owning or co-owning a small business strongly preferred; experience managing operations, finances, marketing, staffing, or growth strategy is highly relevant
- Exposure across a range of industries valued: retail, e-commerce, professional services (consulting, legal, accounting), technology, hospitality and F&B, healthcare and wellness, creative/media, construction and trades, and others
- Entry-level business owners through seasoned entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply
- Clear, metacognitive communication in English — ability to articulate the reasoning behind real business decisions in structured, actionable detail
