SWE Infrastructure Specialist (JS/TS/Python) — Freelance AI Trainer Project
About the role
Meridial (powered by Invisible Technologies) is seeking senior software engineers with infrastructure expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python to train AI on cloud systems and platform architecture. You’ll challenge AI on cloud design, Infrastructure-as-Code abstractions, deployment workflows, scalability constraints, abstraction layers, state management, and failure modes — verifying architectural soundness, analyzing performance bottlenecks, and documenting where models misreason about distributed systems and reliability. Remote, worldwide-open, $80–$150/hr.
What you'll do
- Challenge AI models on infrastructure and platform engineering scenarios using JS, TS, and Python: cloud design, IaC abstractions, deployment workflows, scalability constraints, environment isolation, state management, and distributed system failure modes
- Verify architectural soundness and logical correctness of AI outputs; assess code quality and testing strategies for infrastructure and platform contexts
- Analyze performance bottlenecks and deployment risks; capture reproducible failure cases where AI misreasons about reliability, scalability, or operational tradeoffs
- Suggest improvements to prompt design and evaluation metrics to strengthen model reasoning on infrastructure and platform engineering domains
Requirements
- Strong JS/TS/Python infrastructure or platform engineering background: cloud platforms, IaC, DevOps, SRE, or performance engineering in production environments
- Real-world experience with cloud-native architectures, deployment pipelines, performance analysis, or QA practices; CS/SE degree preferred
- Clear technical communication — ability to articulate system-level reasoning, architectural tradeoffs, and abstraction decisions in precise, reproducible detail
