Tagalog Quality Control Specialist — Freelance AI Language Project (Project Lyra)
About the role
Welo Data is looking for Tagalog-speaking Quality Control Specialists for Project Lyra, a 4-week remote AI language evaluation project paying $24/hour. You will review and refine AI-generated Tagalog text for linguistic accuracy, grammar, and cultural appropriateness, develop training prompts and responses, and directly improve the quality of conversational AI language models. Approximately 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.
What you'll do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated Tagalog text for linguistic accuracy, grammatical correctness, and cultural appropriateness
- Identify language issues and provide high-quality rewritten responses to improve AI outputs
- Develop natural Tagalog prompts and responses to enhance conversational AI training datasets
- Apply expertise in structured tasks including preference ranking, prompt-response writing, and grammaticality checks
- Collaborate with global teams to improve AI language model quality and performance
Requirements
- Strong academic or professional background in linguistics (required)
- Native or professional Tagalog proficiency with excellent written communication skills
- Deep understanding of Tagalog grammar, linguistic structures, and cultural nuances
- Experience in language review, evaluation, or similar quality control roles
- Detail-oriented with ability to deliver clear, constructive feedback on AI-generated text
