AI Backend Engineer / AI Integration Engineer
About the role
A remote team is hiring a backend engineer to deploy and integrate open-source generative AI (ComfyUI, LoRA training, GPU inference) into products. Prior AI research experience is not required.
What you'll do
- Build, modify, debug, and optimize ComfyUI workflows.
- Research newly released open-source image, video, audio, and multimodal generation models.
- Deploy open-source models on GPU servers.
- Integrate useful models and workflows into apps, websites, and backend services.
- Build APIs and backend services around AI generation pipelines.
- Run LoRA training experiments and tune training configurations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional development experience with a backend language such as Python, PHP, Java, Node.js, Ruby, or Go.
- Strong backend development experience, preferably with Python.
- Very comfortable working with Linux and command-line environments.
- Familiar with Git, Docker, APIs, server deployment, and dependency management.
- Strong interest in generative AI and open-source technologies.
- You do not need to be a machine learning researcher.
