LaTeX Specialist — Freelance AI Trainer Project
About the role
Meridial (powered by Invisible Technologies) is sourcing independent LaTeX specialists worldwide for an AI benchmark evaluation project. You’ll evaluate, rewrite, and refine AI-generated content — correcting malformed LaTeX expressions and math notations, fixing markdown structure, rewriting prose for style and clarity, and applying complex rubrics consistently at high volume to generate clean AI training data. Remote, worldwide, $8–$30/hr.
What you'll do
- Identify and correct malformed LaTeX expressions, unclosed environments, and inaccurate mathematical notations within AI-generated text; ensure flawless LaTeX rendering across outputs
- Rewrite AI-generated prose to meet strict stylistic, structural, and creative requirements — engaging writing, varied sentence structure, pristine grammar, US spelling and formatting standards
- Fix broken markdown elements: unclosed code blocks, inaccurate language tags, headers, and list numbering; ensure flawless structural formatting throughout
- Apply complex multi-part evaluation rubrics consistently across high volumes of tasks; generate clean, reliable data for AI model training at scale
Requirements
- Solid familiarity with LaTeX syntax: ability to accurately spot and correct malformed mathematical expressions, unclosed environments, and technical notations
- Native or near-native English proficiency with strong command of US spelling, grammar, and formatting conventions; background in creative writing, editing, fiction, journalism, or copywriting
- Hands-on experience with Markdown formatting: proper structuring of code blocks, headers, and lists; meticulous, detail-oriented approach with ability to navigate and apply multi-part rubrics reliably at high volume
