About the role
Data Scientist — Modelling at Motolite in Quezon City, building machine-learning models that have to beat a baseline and change an operational decision.
What you'll do
- Frame modelling problems against a measurable business outcome and a specific operational decision.
- Establish the baseline the model must beat before development starts.
- Perform feature engineering, model development, validation, backtesting, explainability analysis, and experiment design.
- Develop forecasting, quality, customer, maintenance, pricing, and optimization models depending on the domain.
- Work with data and AI engineers to integrate models into operational workflows and monitor drift after deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Three or more years developing and deploying statistical or machine-learning models with demonstrated production use.
- Python, including the scientific and machine-learning stack.
