Software Engineer, Applied AI — DevRev
About the role
DevRev builds an AI-native platform called Computer that unifies data, tools, and workflows so teams can deploy AI agents and automations alongside human staff. As a Software Engineer in Applied AI, you’ll be the technical bridge between DevRev’s platform and customers’ existing stacks — building integrations, AI agents, and knowledge graphs that make the platform work in real production environments.
What you'll do
- Build and deploy AI agents, integrations, and automations connecting DevRev with customers’ tech stacks via APIs, webhooks, and real-time architectures
- Apply prompt engineering, fine-tune semantic search engines, and leverage generative AI to enhance agent accuracy and user experience
- Design and build Knowledge Graph integrations using MCP (Model Context Protocol) for adaptive, context-aware AI solutions
- Write SQL, perform data analysis, and build dashboards that surface actionable insights for customer decision-making
- Develop rapid proofs-of-concept, conduct live technical demos, and iterate solutions with cross-functional teams
Requirements
- 3+ years in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python; knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Applied AI knowledge: LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, and building evals for agentic AI solutions
- Deep experience with API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) and large-scale data synchronization
- Experience deploying on AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, or similar serverless/cloud platforms with CI/CD and observability practices
